Villa Virginia is a modernist private residential compound integrated with a wooded hillside overlooking a tributary to the James River in southeastern Virginia. Surrounded by water on three sides, distinct forms are clad in limestone, bronze plate, and glass. The rigorously executed design maximizes landscape views and natural light from both private and public spaces.
